Aims & Scope

The scientific and methodological journal "Eurasian music science journal" is an academic edition included in the list of international scientific journals of Uzbekistan, reviewed by the Higher Attestation Commission in the direction of 17.00.00 "Study of art" (specialty: 17.00.02 - Musical art).The edition is intended for publication of articles by leading experts in the field of theoretical and historical musicology, ethnomusicology, as well as interdisciplinary areas (music - pedagogy, sociology, psychology, acoustics, sound engineering, etc.).

The Edition was registered as the Eurasian music science journal of Uzbekistan in the National database of scientific journals of Uzbekistan Research Online 2030 (uzjournals.edu.uz) platform. The journal is registered with the Uzbek Agency for Press and Information under the number No. 1093 dated 21.07.2020.

The main aim of the journal is to assist in the formation of a common research and cultural and information space in the field of musical art for the countries of Eurasia and the formation of an objective scientific picture in the global space of musicology, including various scientific schools. On its pages, materials are published that differ in diverse and relevant scientific research issues, reflecting a wide range of issues of world musical culture.
Thematic headings and focus of the journal stem from the following tasks:
- reflection of the range of issues in the field of musicology and its entry into the interdisciplinary level;
- revealing branches of musicology and consecration of relevant topics (instrumentation, interpretation, cultural aspects, figurative and artistic palette of a musical work, questions of musical text, composer techniques, musical theatre, musical sound engineering, musical perception, etc.).

Due to the fact that the scientific music school of Uzbekistan has extensive ties with the post-Soviet republics, where the research approach differs from the Western European one, we considered it necessary to accept materials in Russian, covering the Asian part of the Eurasian continent and developing the traditions of the scientific approach set in the Soviet period. Taking into account the scale of the Western European research approach, we believe that the materials can also be published in English.

In summary, the journal accepts materials in English and Russian.
